Hi, I know it's only been a couple of weeks since the last newsletter, but there is some very important news that I just had to get out to you.

Yes, that's right, NovaMind Pro and Platinum for Windows can now import Mind Manager files.
NovaMind Platinum for Windows can now import and export Microsoft Project XML files.
You will get the new functionality when you next check for updates and update to the latest version.
We have been steadily working through the refinements to the screenwriter and have it almost complete. I'll send out a brief newsletter when it is complete and released.
The new import and export of Microsoft Project files and the new way of importing Mind Manager files will be coming to the Mac version of NovaMind soon too, so keep an eye out for updates.
In addition to all the videos and articles I mentioned in the last newsletter, we've been busy over the last couple of weeks with a number of new articles. Some of them are still awaiting Mind Maps to go in them, and I'll be addressing those shortly. Here's a list:

We have just announced a crossgrade discount program which gives people a $50 discount off NovaMind Pro or Platinum when switching from another Mind Mapping program that they paid more than $100 for. Full details are available on the web site. So if your friends have not purchased NovaMind yet and are ready to switch from other Mind Mapping software to NovaMind, you could just point them in the direction of this page.
In addition to the new web site and new features I mentioned in the last newsletter, we have improved the "link to this page" functionality so that it now gives you a selection of titles to choose from, and also works better when bookmarking individual Mind Maps in the Gallery, and also works with the blog, so we have complete coverage site-wide now.
Well it's coming around to northern hemisphere school purchasing time and we are getting the usual round of enquiries, but although we have not raised the prices at all in the last year, it appears that with the state of the economy in USA in particular is putting a big squeeze on spending - especially for schools.
So I got to thinking what we could do for schools, and I decided that it would be a good gesture to provide some licenses at a significantly reduced price to schools in particular and to other people who may be feeling a bit of financial pressure now.
What I have decided to do is to offer a limited number of licenses at a huge reduction - although it says the reduction is 50%, it's actually even higher for Express licenses because we normally don't offer educational discounts for Express, but during this special we are. This means that for Express, it is reduced by 65%. My understanding is that it is the elementary schools who are being hit the hardest - hence the special treatment for Express.
I believe that the prices are now such that it's a "no brainer" for you to purchase now.
So there it is - I have tried to think of all the possible questions and put them in the information above. I have no idea how long the licenses will last - hopefully long enough to give those who really need the reduced pricing an opportunity to purchase - no guarantees though - it's first in first served. If there are any other questions that are not answered in the image above, just drop me a line and I'll try to get back to you as quickly as possible.
Just so it is 100% clear - this offer is available to everyone worldwide whether you are an educational institution, business, non-profit organization, government or individual. And a reminder that a "site" means a physical location, so if for instance a university had two campuses in different places, they would need two site licenses.
If you are an educational institution and need the educational discount, you will still need to have a coupon to use during purchase, so get one ahead of time - I will not be having my sales staff staying up all night on the launch night sending out coupons.
And as to whether I am likely to make more licenses available at the reduced price, somehow I don't think so - I have already put 3/4 of a million dollars of discount on the table for the taking :-)
