Thanks for your thoughts on this. This Sunday I downloaded iThoughts again and have been experimenting with it. I did try that before, but gave up on it because of its apparent clunkiness. But I figured I'd give it another go. I guess you have been reading my mind.

I also have been thinking about running Windows with some virtualization solution, like Parallels, VMWare or VirtualBox. Besides spending lots of $$ on the software you mentioned, I would also need to get me some antivirus and firewall software. And then it all comes back to me how it is to live in a Windows world. That really turns me off.
So I must wait for Gideon and his gang to finally produce a feature-complete NM 5. Or keep muddling with (at least partly) hand drawn maps.
