yes, absolutely. If you have the latest version this should be available in the print dialog (only when you have more than one map in the document).

For more info please read this:

NovaMind 5 for Windows / Re: Create New Mind Map from Tab
« on: September 19, 2012, 10:04:03 am »
You can just drag and drop the tabs between NovaMind windows. So, create a new document and then drag the tab from the old one to the new. This will create a copy of that Mind Map. I know it's not very obvious  :-\

NovaMind 5 for Windows / Work-in-progress on our NovaMind Windows 8 App
« on: August 25, 2012, 03:47:08 pm »
Some of you might have seen our announcement of our NovaMind App for Windows 8. As per the FAQ in that announcement the new App is meant as a companion app and it is designed for touch devices. It is already available for free on the Windows 8 Store. Windows 8 will be released to the general public on 26th October this year but many companies have already access to the RTM (release to manufactoring) version.

I've just published a blog post on my private blog to talk a bit about the upcoming update for it. You can find it here;)

What version are you using? We have added FlexiTopics to NovaMind 5 for Windows quite a while ago.

If you are not sure just download the latest version from our website (big green download button).

Unfortunately, when it comes to these specific features, there is a difference between the Mac and PC version and due to limitations in the technology we use to create the Windows version we cannot properly support these advanced font features.

I'm sorry that I don't have better news.

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Re: Macbook Pro Retina display - help!

Quote from our recent newsletter:

Retina Display Macs

Apple kind of sprung the retina machines on us without warning, so NovaMind has not yet been updated to deal with it. Until we release an update to support this, please use the "Get Info" panel for NovaMind in the Finder, and click on "Open in low Resolution". We'll be working on an update to get it to work nicely in high resolution mode once we have the Presenter released.

NovaMind 5 for Windows / Re: Clickable PDFs
« on: July 05, 2012, 12:20:53 pm »
I've split this topic from the original post.

The Windows version does not support clickable links in PDF. If you want to share a Mind Map in its full glory sharing the nm5 file itself is currently the best option. The Mac version does this but only for text links. Not the more common 'attached hyperlinks'.
Due to the technical difference between the Mac version and Windows version we do not plan to add this to the Windows version but we are investigating other possibilities to make sharing easier.

NovaMind 5 for Windows / Re: Import mind map file
« on: June 17, 2012, 01:43:12 pm »
I had a quick look at MindApp and it seems that they don't support any of the formats we are able to import. MindApp doesn't even seem to be able to export to text or OPML which is highly unusual.
I also couldn't find any other software able to import MindApp documents.

Sorry, but at this stage it seems that you cannot import documents from MindApp.

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Re: Grafting placement of topics
« on: June 11, 2012, 11:00:37 am »
this sounds like a bug. have you reported this to support@novamind.com ?

did you also try to re-install the .NET Framework?

Yes, please contact support with any critical issues and where you want a reply from NovaMind staff.
Most of the time this issue is caused by a corrupt installation of the Microsoft .NET Framework.

You can try to download and re-install it from Microsoft's website:

http://www.microsoft.com/net (Just click on install .NET Framework 4)

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Re: Control of topic movement?
« on: May 22, 2012, 10:28:18 am »
I just wanted to know if it is possible to offset more than one subtopic at a time (but not all of them) further away from a topic, rather than one at a time.  I am thinking this is not possible, but wasn't sure if I was missing something.  No overlaps in my mind.

You cannot move multiple topics at once. You have to move topics one by one.
You can graft (re-order, re-structure) multiple topics at once. This works both on the outline view and on the Map.

You can move all sub-topics of a topic further away from the topic by changing the layout settings on that topic. This effectively changes the default locations for topics.
To do this use the layout inspector (and select the parent topic) to change the default distance for sub-topics. You can also change the distance between siblings (repel distance).

Hope this helps.

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Re: Hyperlink features and brilliant macros?

btw. you should be able to reset the entire map to a theme. this should save you clicking on 'default' so much.

When you open the print dialog you can choose whether to print the Mind Map, Outline or the Presentation Slides (only in Platinum edition).

Does this not work for you?
