NovaMind 5 for Mac / Tab for new subtopic?

Is there any way to set simply hitting the tab key to insert a new subtopic? It is very annoying to hit command enter for this. My instinct is to hit tab and all the other programs I have used in the past used this so it is a hard habit to break.

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Question abt NM5 for concept mapping.

I know this isn't really meant to be a concept mapping application and my needs in this area aren't that complex so I think I can make this work. I am using floating topics as the concepts and link lines between them to show the relationships. What I haven't figured out is how to have a label on the link line to define the relationship. I put a text box there but don't see how to have the text read inline or on the relationship line. Does this make sense? In other words can I tilt the box so it is parallel to the relationship line?

Another question why does the relationship line always come out curved until I straighten it out? Is there and option I overlooked?

Done. I like this software and want it to work. It does a lot of things very well. I really like the space saving features.

I am in the trial period and like the software but am having the following issues so this is giving me second thoughts of a purchase. Some of these have already been reported by others.

when alt tabbing between different applications, many times NM will not come forward when landing on it's icon. I can see the menu bar at the top and only by actually clicking on the bar will the whole app be displayed

Sometimes a very noticeable delay when typing in the map or trying to move around the map. it sometimes takes several clicks in different spots on the map before it is able to move to my inputs again. Very strange.

difficulty deleting a topic. I can click on the topic and press delete and nothing will happen. sometimes after repeatingly trying it out of frustration, it deletes more than one topic. sometimes I have to click on the background repeatedly then come back to the topic and try to delete it. other times it works as expected so I dont know what is going on here.

sometimes when I want to work on one topic and I click on it, more than one topic is selected.

I know this is a new upgrade so I know there will be some issues. I need to decide on a purchase w/i the next couple of weeks so hopefully someone can please help. conflicts with other software is not the answer like I read this in an earlier post. apps should work. If these issues are known and being worked on, I can live with that knowing the problems will be fixed shortly. If these issues sound new, I am worried.
