NovaMind 5 for Mac / Great support - thank you

Just to mention, as I think it is great support.

Today morning about 11 Central European time NM 5.4.9 was published and I loaded it. I was facing some serious issues in this version. At 11:30 I send a mail to NM and at 13 o'clock I add some more observations. At 15:15 I got a mail telling the issue is identified and the fix is in testing. At 18 o'clock 5.4.10 was available and fixed the problems.

SW problems can happen and I have not real problems with it (I'm used to it as I work in this industry), but the support to fix and the timing is outstanding.

about the Forum / Order of topics

The new order of topics on first page of the forum, actual product topics at the bottom of the list, is disgusting. I see already a first entry with NM5 question in the NM4 area.

Please change it back. Actual product at the top of the forum.

NovaMind 5 for Mac / How to "Added ability for user to turn off autosave"

Hi,

the release notes describes the new functionality.

I checked the help and found

Paste the following command into it:
defaults write com.novamind.novamind5 AutosaveTime 300
Change the number at the end to the number you want - the 300 here will save every 300 seconds, or 5 minutes, or if you want to turn off autosave completely, set the number to 0 (zero).

Is there an online functionality to se the parameter it in NM? Maybe selectable per file? Or is the described method in terminal the only way?

By the way, I asked already in another thread, is there a way to "clean" a file/map from old versions?

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Printing of multiple maps

Hi,

I just tried to print out of a file with multiple maps. I didn't find an option to print all maps in one shot, each must be printed individually (to paper or pdf). Help doesn't say anything on this topic.

Did I oversee such function or is this feature missing?

General / Filtering and Adornments

I'm still new to Novamind, switched from Mindmanager where I'm not happy any more. I like NM a lot, but there is one feature I'm missing.

As a consultant I use Mindmapping often with my customers, I mark a lot of information with different adornments, e.g. risks, confidential information, etc.

In dependency on the audience, I want to filter information (based on the adornments), e.g. not show confidential information. The filter should work in two ways, hide all branches with the filter criteria or show only branches with the selection criteria (e.g. focus risks).

It would be great if you can add such feature in your roadmap.

NovaMind 5 for Mac / Export into graphical formats and pdf

Hi,

I just played with the Export function. I recognised that headers and footers, defined for printing, are not part of the export. I think it would be a good feature if headers and footers can be selected by menu to be included in export.

General / Presenter and printing of slides

Hi,

the presenter is one of  the main reason why a bought NM5, I played with it and used it in the Windows Virtual Machine, normally I use the Mac environment. Until Presenter is available I can life with the modus to switch.

One feature I miss (our didn't found) is the possibility to print the presentation slides. Is this possible or planned, It would be a great feature to show and print easily parts of large maps.

General / Boundaries and Callout

Hi,

I think an additional Boundary type in form of a bracket would be nice.
In addition it should be possible to add Callouts to boundaries (if this is possible, I didn't find how to do it).

NovaMind 5 for Mac / NM Language

Hi,

I'm new to Novamind, loaded Mac and Windows Version. The Windows version is already available in German. Will the GUI of the Mac Version be translated as well?
