boundaries glitch

I'm using NovaMind Pro, version 4.7.4, and overall I love it, but I'm having a hard time customizing boundaries. About half the time everything works as it is supposed to--I either click on the border of a boundary or just inside it and it is selected, and I customize to my heart's content.

But the other half of the time I create a boundary, which shows as a black line, but I'm totally unable to select it. I try clicking on the line, inside the line, dragging from outside in--it's totally unresponsive. I can't even remove it, except by using undo. I'm tried saving and closing and reopening, but no luck. Once I had a map where boundaries on some branches could be selected and customized, and other branches on the same map where I couldn't select the boundaries at all.

As far as I can tell, I'm doing exactly the same thing in both cases above, but maybe I'm missing something. Does anyone else have this problem, or better yet, a solution? By the way, I'm on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.6.
