Shape Effects greyed out? (Win7, Novamind Pro)

First time user - I saw some examples of other mind maps, with effects. Looks like shadows not possible on a PC but are on a mac.

The "shape effects" command on the ribbon is always greyed out for me - is this only available on a mac, if so why is it present on my install?

Or maybe I'm doing something wrong!

Any suggestions welcome ...

Hi Robert,

The shape effects in NovaMind 4 for Windows are only available for attached shapes, not for the main branches. If you add an attached shape such as an image or a rectangle you can use the reflection effect.

OK I did a quick test "Insert shape" tried text, rectangle, oval - still the only formatting options I get are outline & fill. "Shape Effects" is greyed out ...

I must be doing something wrong - should I re-install NM4 perhaps? It's a pretty powerful PC with Win7 & up to date ...

Oh, sorry. My fault.
The Shape Effects will only work for floating images (Insert/Image).

Yes, we are very busy getting NovaMind 5 ready. Very exciting.
