The issue is that neither Courier or Courier Final Draft support Russian character sets, so the system automatically chooses the system fixed pitch font, which happens to be Monaco.
In NovaMind 5, we will also enable Courier New which does support Russian...but we may actually need to do another release of NovaMind 4, seeing as we believe we have found a solution to a stability issue that some users have experienced - if that fix works, we will be releasing a new version within about the next 2 weeks which includes that stability patch as well as support for Courier New.
So the system will try Courier Final Draft first, then Courier, then Courier New, and will use the first of those that is available and supports your character set.
If the fix we are trying does not solve the stability issue, then it is possible that we may not release another update before the release of NovaMind 5, but at the moment it's looking quite promising.
