Any way to translate maps?

(1/1)

Learning K:
Hi.  This is a wonderful international forum.  But is there any way to translate the text of a map?  I would love, for example, to understand Jean-Pierre's last map.  I only remember enough high school French to be intriqued, mais je ne parle pas le francais.

I am not asking for a NovaMind addition, but does anyone know a program that I could use for downloading the map and translating it?

Merci.
Kathy

Patrick:
Although the quality of the translation varies you might want to give the Google translation service a try:

http://www.google.com.au/language_tools

Google can translate a website for you. Simply enter the url int he Translate web page section and pick the source and target language.
If you want to translate NovaMind Connect from French to English for example you can use this link:

http://translate.google.com.au/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.novamind.com%2Fconnect&sl=fr&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

The mind map images will still be in French as Google sees them as images and cannot translate them but the menu and description (branch notes) will be translated to English. This means that once you click on a mind map the tree menu below the image will be translated to English.

Great.  I bookmarked the translation site for future use.  FYI the map itself did not translate (none of it), but the description and the branch text and notes at the bottom did, and that suffices for the meaning of the map.

This is one more thing to appreciate with NovaMind Connect!
