THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for creating a forum for your users. I've been wanting one for a long time. It's great to see the interactions already, and Gideon's input.

Now, this little tiny nit. I went to modify my profile, and noticed that while "Local time" and "Language" are shown in the profile, there doesn't seem to be any way to edit them.

Oh, looking at this editing pane, I have one more question. In the middle of the row of buttons above the smileys, there are three controls for inserting parts of tables. The third table button highlights a single cell, but the ALT tag says "Insert Table Column". If it is for a column, the button should show a whole column highlighted, but if it's to insert a cell, the tag should be changed.

You can specify your time offset under Profile/Look and Layout Preferences (there is also a button that calculates the offset automatically)

The 'Language' field is currently unused.

I was able to set the local time by calculating the time difference. It'd be nicer to just choose from a pull-down menu, as you can in some applications, but it looks like you're using a forum software package, which may or may not offer that option. The "auto-detect" didn't seem to work; it caused "NaN" to show up in the form window, but the "Local" time displayed in my profile was still the default forum time.

The BBC help page is helpful. I see that that third table button can be for entering either a cell or a column, and they provide HMTL and visual examples for both.

Yes you are right. We are using the forum from www.simplemachines.org
In my opinion, one of the best forum software available.

We wanted to provide a feature rich and easy to use forum for our users while keeping the maintenance effort low so we can focus on creating the best mind mapping software

Gideon is currently working on a fantastic looking new website for NovaMind. We will update the appearance of the forum once the website is ready. (and it won't be yellow)

Thanks - glad you like it, and thanks for the feedback from everyone to the survey we did, which was one significant contributing factor to me rebuilding the web site as a priority item, and introducing the news blog...which reminds me, I should really post something saying that we have a new web site...

How about adding Babel fish translation from altavista so that everyone can view everything in the language of their choice?
