exporting multiple maps in NM5

(1/2) > >>

NigelH:
hi,

if I have 4 maps in a single .NM5 file and I only want to EXPORT 1 of those maps to PDF, how do I do that?

NM5 only exports for the first map, ie the first tab and ignores the other 3, even if I have the 3rd map highlighted, export still only sees the 1st map, tab.

thanks

2 possibilities:

a) Print and than choose PDF - Save to pdf. Only the active map is included in the resulting pdf-file

b) Export - in the bottom of the menu, where you enter the file name you can select the maps to be exported. In case you choose more than one each will be in an own file "Filename 1.pdf" to "Filename N.pdf"

Good luck

Edit: sorry this is the way it works on Mac, haven't seen that I was in the wrong path. I assume method b) should for in Windows, but I haven't checked

NigelH:
thanks Olaf.

I am on Windows.  Option (2) does not work. It still only exports the first tab.

Option (1) of your suggestions works.

thanks

I am having a similar problem exporting to PDF (or anything for that matter).  I have NM5 files with multiple maps and wish to export them all as 1 file to PDF - this used to be an option with NM4.  I keep trying to export to PDF but again only 1 map will save.  I have tried going through the Print screen but I don't have the option to PDF from that screen.  Is there any way I can export to PDF more than 1 map at a time?  I have so many... this could take forever...  HELP?!?

Patrick:
The export only works on the currently selected Mind Map. You could either generate separate PDF files and then use a third party tool to combine them or you could use a PDF printer and print all Mind Maps to PDF. I have used www.cutepdf.com in the past and it worked quite well. Please note that this is a third party application. Use at your own risk.
