Hi

I just updated NovaMind to 5.2. Is this the version you mailed us about? With the new data layer? Sure feels like it. I am having several (5!) maps open and everything zooms on nicely. NM behaves as if it has just been installed on a brand new Mac and opens its first map. Thanks for all the hard work!!!

Thanks Jake - it has been an absolutely massive undertaking - tens of thousands of new lines of code in the application, and many long days an nights of work, but it is so worth it - so much easier to find and definitively fix issues, and as you have experienced, the performance is better etc.

As with any massive update like this, there are one or two issues that affect a few people, but we are already making good progress on resolving them, and should have a minor update release out shortly to address those issues.

Overall, I'm delighted with the new underpinnings of the application. One of the difficulties with doing an update like this is that it's virtually all behind the scenes work, and there are no significant feature updates, so all we can say about it is "it works better", so it's nice to hear that the changes are noticeable to end users.
