Question - re making new mind map from TOPIC

I have created a mind map with several TOPICS and sub topics.
I have then chosen a TOPIC and made a new mind map from TOPIC ... the TOPIC disappears from the master map and is added as a new mind map that is linked.

My problem is that if I make a new mind map from TOPIC .. the topic and sub topics dissappear from the original map. There is still a link that links to the new mind map.

How can I print or view the original mind map with all the topics and sub topics on the one map.

I afraid there is no standard way. For printout you must use copy and paste to put the map together, again.

From my point of view, a split of a map should be down only for good reasons, e.g. map gets to large, content should not present in on view. For all other purposes I would stay with one map in one tab.
I like the presenter functionality with the new print functionality, there I create slides with branches of a map to get printouts which can be read and not a large with very small content.
