Export into graphical formats and pdf
« on: September 14, 2011, 05:21:29 am »
Hi,

I just played with the Export function. I recognised that headers and footers, defined for printing, are not part of the export. I think it would be a good feature if headers and footers can be selected by menu to be included in export.

Thanks,
Olaf

You could select File-->Print

Look for the PDF button on the lower left side of the print dialogue box. Select Save as PDF…

I'm aware and using this way, nevertheless when exporting into tiff or jpeg I would like to have the option to include header and footer as well.

IMHO, this is probably not something that many people would find useful, since it is an image export and therefore doesn't have the concept of a "page" to position the headers or footers on, and as @steveoc said, there is an easy workaround to create a PDF, and of course Preview allows you to save PDFs as images in various formats. Or you could attach a shape to the Mind Map title and position it like a header or footer, if you wanted something on the Mind Map itself.

Certainly this is the first time I recall this being requested, but anyway, if you want to make a feature request, please use the feedback function in NovaMind.
