Lion - Novamind won't work
« on: July 28, 2011, 06:46:46 am »
Last week I upgraded to Lion - Now I realise that Novamind won't work.
I have Novamind Premium, but I don't know which version. I can't find out which version, because I can't open it.

I can't find anything about this on the web-site - I downloaded the latest version 4 - but I can't open that either.

Very upset by this - I was working on a presentation for tomorrow and I've been messing about for hours now.

Any suggestions.

Why do you have to go through all this infantile security stuff to post a queery

I second this issue. I own NovaMind 4 Platinum. I upgraded to OSX 10.7 Lion and now I cannot open NovaMind AT ALL.
THE WORST: many of my daily activities depend on my mind maps.

What gives?

Just found out that Novamind 4 won't run on Lion and there are no plans to fix it - unless of course I pay $29.00 to upgrade. Even then it looks like I am screwed in terms of being able to import all my old files, which will now have to be remade if I want to use them again. The least you guys could do is provide me with a free upgrade to compensate for the inconvenience.  >:(

I found MindNode on the Apple Store which got me out of the pickle for now. I might just get used to it - it has a nice drag metaphor to create nodes.

What I really don't get is NovaMind's - just pay for an upgrade attitude. I was an early user - back in 2005 and have always recommended NovaMind to others. I was happy with v4 so didn't see a reason to upgrade as it has all the features I need.
