Resources are anything you want to keep track of during a project. Resources are typically things like: • Staff • Contractors • Meeting attendees • Tools • Equipment • Vehicles • Buildings • Meeting rooms ... and anything else you need to keep track of for your project.
NovaMind allows you to create a pool of resources that you can use throughout your document on any of the Mind Maps in the document.
Creating your pool of resources
You create your pool of resources for your NovaMind document using the resource editor. First, click on the people icon at the bottom right of the window to show the task information. Now click on the Manage Resources button.
The resource editor looks like this:
Adding resources
You can add resources by clicking on the + button below the list of resources, and entering the details.
You can set the name of the resource, their initials, and their role in the project. You can also set their standard charge out rate by hour or per use, and their overtime rate.
In the Weekly Availability, you can specify how many days a week they are available, or say which days they are available.
In the Daily Availability section, you can set the start and end time - by using the text fields to enter the 24 hour clock start and finish time. The work down time is used to set the amount of non-work time during the day (e.g. for lunch breaks). |
