Resource Assignment

In the Task Information panel, you have all the resources listed under Allocated Resources. To allocate a resource to the selected branch, just click on the resource in the Allocated Resource list.

You can allocate multiple resources by Control-clicking on other resources, and remove resources from the allocation by Control-clicking on the resource in the Allocated Resources list.

When you have resources allocated to a branch, you will see an icon of either a single person or multiple people. If you hover your mouse over the icon, you will see a list of the allocated resources for that branch as a tool tip.

If you don't want to show allocated resource indicators on the branches, you can turn this option off in the view settings.
