Selecting sections |
|
|
As mentioned in the previous section, by using the Command Bar you can see what section you are currently in and which sections you can skip to using Tab or Return. These sections that are accessed by Tab and Return cycle through in logical order according to what normally follows according to how you have configured them in your preferences.
There are other ways of changing sections too.
If you are in an empty section, you can press Tab to cycle between Action, Character, Transition and Scene heading, to allow you to easily pick up the story with the section you need. The current section type is shown in the control bar.
If you use your mouse and click on the currently selected section in the command bar, it will popup with the full list of sections so you can use your arrows keys, or click on your preferred option and then start typing your text. You can also use this method to change an existing section type to something different.
Or, by pressing your return key in an empty section, your list of sections will open to select from.
You can also use the following hotkeys to change to different section types...
These hotkeys are only active when you are editing your script (because they are used for other actions when editing your Mind Map). |
