Attaching script |
|
|
You can attach a script to any of the Mind Map branches including the title, it is not possible to create a script without having a branch selected.
To start working with the screenwriter, click on the script icon on the toolbar
Select the branch you want to add script to, and start typing.
If you already have text attached to other branches, NovaMind will automatically open up a one line gap for you to start typing in. The text attached to the non-selected branches is grayed out so you can easily see which text is attached to the selected branch. If you move the cursor in the text to the text that is attached to another branch, that branch is selected.
You can also copy and paste text easily between branches by copying (or cutting) from one branch (or a selection that spans multiple branches), and pasting into another branch.
The title of the window is updated to show the title of the selected branch.
In the command bar, you have forward and backward arrows which allow you to select the next or previous branch with script attached to it, so you can step through the screenplay. You can also hold down the Option key while using these arrow buttons, and it will take you to the next or previous branch whether it has script attached or not.
You also have the option of displaying only the script for one branch at a time if you prefer - this is toggled by clicking the button on the toolbar.
