Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant, neuroprotector, immune enhancer, and more. It is made in the pineal gland when light is absent. Many (not all) studies have demonstrated that melatonin production decreases as a consequence of exposures to electromagnetic fields, increasing the risk of some serious illnesses. This map offers explanatory notes, research overviews and links to a selection of studies on the subject. Links corrected 11/22/11.
