Description: Xanadu is one of the first designed hypertext projects, never completed, but the inspiration for many other projects. The main concepts of Xanadu involve keeping separate data (formatting, versions, views, links, parts from other documents) always accessible to recombine into different configurations. Links are to be between spans, bi-directional, and permanent. Older versions are to be accessible. Maximum reuse is encouraged while also protecting author rights. |
