TaskServer Setup Concept>

Mind Map branch: (null) Teammate #1 TaskServer
A Tasks based application which focuses on GTD in Collaborative Work environments which can be managed and administered locally.

Tasks are stored & shared via a local installed server running
SQLite. The Server ADMIN can assign users to the Teammate list.
Teammates can then elect to Share specific Projects and assign
Read/Write permissions to them. When Projects are Shared, the
Teammates who are given access can view these Tasks on their
local machine. Depending on the set Permissions, they can Add,
Edit, Delete or Modify these accessible Tasks. Use Case Scenario
The Design Team has been assigned to do a quick update
to the Corporate Website, and the timeline is aggressive.

The Design Lead, Richard, creates a Project in OmniFocus called
WebSite Redesign

He logs in to the TaskServer and assigns three Designers
and himself to the Project (Steve, Rachael, and Gordon) and
fires off a quick reminder.

Steve is the first to review the email. He launches OmniFocus
and clicks on the Share Tab and see the Project : WebSite Redesign
in the Share Bin. He clicks on it and sees all his assigned Tasks
which Richard assigned to him. He notices that he has an option to
view all Tasks, and clicks on the View All button. He is presented
with a list of all Tasks, with his assigned Tasks being nested at the
bottom with his name, Steve, in the header. He clicks on the Focus
button and he is returned to a view of just his Tasks.

He quickly reviews his Tasks and knocks off 6 of the 30 items he has
been assigned, and checks them off in the Task list, and they disappear.

Rachael and Gordon launch OmniFocus and click on the Share Tab
and review their list of assigned Tasks. As the day progresses the
designers make great progress. Rachael tends to see the entire
list of Tasks with hers included so she can gauge the teams progress.
Even though she can see all the available Tasks she can only manipulate
the Tasks that she's been assigned.

At the end of the day RIchard is finally out of client meetings so he
launches OmniFocus on his iPhone to check on the teams progress.
He selects the Share item in the list view and reviews the list of Tasks.
He adds a few items to the Task list and assigns them to Rachael, who
immediately sees her Badge number change from 6 to 9 in the Share
tab. She looks at her list of Tasks and smiles and checks them off
immediately since she knew Richard would ask for these items.
