Golden Mean

Euthyphro>Aristotle>

Mind Map branch: Golden Mean Aristotle Golden Mean

Branch Note:

Each virtue is a mean between two extremes.

Courage <-----> Fear

If you fear too much, you are a coward. Cowardice is one of the vices associated with courage.

It is possible to fear too little. That would be fool-hardy. Fool-hardieness is also a vice.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather fearing appropriately.
