2= recognizable speech disorder, intelligibility unaffected
3= reduction in intelligibility of speech
4= natural speech augmented by AAC
5= no useful speech

Consider this scale in addition to mild/moderate/severe (Darley et al 1969): it brings a more functional intelligibility focus to profiling.
