Roommate Rules and Expectations

• Shared Expenses
  • Each roommate will pay half of all expenses related to rent or utilities
  • Each roommate is responsible for their own groceries, toiletries, and cleaning products
• Cleaning
  • Each roommate is responsible for cleaning their own dishes within 1 day of them being placed in the sink
  • Roommates will alternate weekly the cleaning of common areas such as the bathroom, kitchen and living/dining room
  • Roommates must clean common area messes that are the result of visitors, even if it is not their week to do so
• Groceries/Food
  • Each roommate is responsible for their own groceries and may only eat the other's groceries when given permission
  • Roommates will share food expenses for parties or other events that are given by both roommates
• Noise Levels
  • Each roommate should try to keep noise levels in their room (TV, radio, etc.) at reasonable levels between 11 pm and 8 am
  • Each roommate should not run washing or drying machine or dishwasher after 1 am unless absolutely necessary
• Visitors
  • No overnight visitors without clearing it with the other roomate
  • Each roommate must pay for any expenses incurred by a guest who stays at the apartment 3 or more nights in a row
  • Each roommate should keep noise levels of visitors in the apartment between 11 pm and 8 am to a minimum
