• Stage Props/Music/Lighting
  • Recruit students who will be in charge of props/music and lighting for play
    • Ask for volunteers among media club members
    • 3 months before opening night performance
  • Have weekly meeting with student in charge of stage crew to go over instructions and make sure everything is running smoothly
    • Every Monday afterschool at 4pm starting 10 weeks before opening night
  • Have meeting with stage crew and pick one student who will be in charge of stage crew
    • 11 weeks before opening night
• Budget
  • Check with school principal to see what this year's budget is
    • 4 months before opening night
  • Petition for more money (if necessary) so that we will have same budget as last year
    • 3 1/2 months before opening night
  • Make any cuts needed to stay within final budget given
    • 3 months before opening night
• Casting/Rehearsals
  • Hold auditions for productions
    • 3 1/2 months before opening night
  • Make final cast selections and assign parts
    • 3 months before opening night
  • Hold first cast rehearsal and hand out script
    • 3 months before opening night
  • Hold weekly rehearsals every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school at 4 pm
    • Begin after first rehearsal
• Advertising
  • Run ad about play in school paper
    • Start running every Monday and Friday 6 week before opening night
    • Have Molly arrange this with school newspaper editor (she can use same ad wording as last year)
  • Run ad about play in local town paper
    • Start running ad in Sunday paper 6 weeks before opening night
    • Call Frank at paper and tell him when to start running ad. He will use same ad as last year w/ new dates.
• Costumes
  • Check to see if costumes need cleaning from last year's performance
    • 3 months before opening night
  • Make any alterations and repairs to costumes
    • Approx. 2 1/2 months before opening night
    • Note: Need to wait until cast actors before make alterations
  • Have first fitting for costumes
    • 1 1/2 months before opening night
  • Have final fitting for costumes
    • 3 weeks before opening night
